About the software
Your model. Your GPU.
DROPZONED is a free, private 3D model viewer that runs in your browser. Its arcade-inspired controls surround a full-screen model viewport.
Local processing. Zero model uploads. Drop a model, choose files, or open a folder. Your browser reads the selected files and your device renders the scene.
What you can inspect
Open glTF 2.0 and GLB models with materials, textures and animations. OBJ geometry, STL and PLY mesh or point geometry are supported too. OBJ materials and MTL textures are not imported.
Switch between original materials, clay and wireframe; change lighting and exposure; orbit, pan and zoom; play glTF animations; and save a PNG screenshot. The grid adapts to camera movement and zoom.
Made for your own files
The canvas starts empty. The Show demo model button loads an original procedural sample only when you choose it. No account, browser extension or desktop installer is required.
For glTF with separate BIN files and textures, select all companion files or open the containing folder. Model-authored network links are blocked. Draco, Meshopt and KTX2 decoders are served with the app.
Compatibility and limits
Use a current browser with JavaScript, WebGL2 and hardware acceleration. Selected files are limited to 512 MB; decoded scenes can exceed a device's available memory well before that limit. Not every optional glTF extension is supported.
Who publishes DROPZONED?
DROPZONED is published by Mykita. Its purpose is to help you inspect 3D files directly in your browser.
